Patch note 1.4 - BrewConnect and the 4th layout update

This new update introduces BrewConnect, a platform aimed at adding features to compatible homebrew games such as achievements and later save syncing, friends list and multiplayer.

New Menus and Options

• Audio Menu:
  • Volume: separate controls for general volume, music, voice, and sound effects.
  • Subtitles: enable/disable subtitles.
• BrewConnect Menu: option to enable/disable analytics sharing.
• Controls Menu:
  • Enable/disable the Wii Remote pointer.
  • Enable/disable Wii Remote motion controls.
• Video Menu: enable/disable panorama effect.

Visual Changes and Interface

• New loading bar design.
• Menu interaction is now possible via the GamePad touchscreen.
• Adaptive subtitles: subtitle position changes based on the selected layout and whether the monitor is enabled or not.
• Added the warning screen.

Audio

• Audio now works correctly on the GamePad.
• Sound output can be routed to the TV, the GamePad, or both, depending on the selected layout.

Layouts

• Added new Dualscreen Alternative layout:
  • Office view displayed on the TV.
  • Monitor with camera selection displayed on the GamePad.

Localization

• Added Catalan, Turkish, and Slovak (note: Slovak is almost complete but still missing a few words).
• Spanish translation has been fixed and is now accurate.

Gameplay and Mechanics

• Ability to mute phone calls.
• In the Custom Night menu, Golden Freddy’s screamer now quit the game instead of returning to the main menu.
• The ad screen that appears when clicking “Continue” is now automatically skipped.

Major Bug Fixes

• Fixed a critical issue that caused random crashes during loading.

Optimization and Performance

• New save system:
  • Removed lag during saves.
• General performance optimizations.

Content and Events

• Added the Halloween Special Event.
• Added new Source Macchiato intro and logo.
• New achievement system using BrewConnect.
